Destination display
Destination
Every Nagasaki Bus has its destination and transfer stops displayed at the front and on the side. Please check the desti- nation display before getting on a bus.
Entrance / exit
The entrance is located in the middle of the vehicle (or at the rear with some models) and the exit at the front beside the driver’s seat.You pay as you get off the bus, using the fare box near the exit.

Getting on the bus
Check the destination displayed on the bus and get on from the entrance (rear door of the bus).
IC card passengers
Place your card against the blue card reader near the entrance.
For Cash / One-day pass passengers
Take a numbered ticket from the tick- et-issuing machine.

On the bus
Please be seated quietly and do not put your face or hands out of the windows on the bus.If you cannot find a seat, hold onto a pole or a strap near you.

Before getting off the busBefore getting off the bus
If you see your destination on the bus stop display above the driver’s seat and hear it announced, push any stop button near you and alert the driver.
NOTE: The bus may skip a bus stop unless you push a stop button.
Please remain seated for your safety until the bus has come to a complete stop and the door has opened.
Passengers who are standing may hold onto a pole or a strap while the bus is moving. -

Checking the fare
Check the fare display at the front of the bus and your numbered ticket. If you’re paying cash, please make sure you do not require change. You may only break coins or 1,000 yen bills on the bus.

Paying fares
IC card passengers
Place your card against the blue card reader on the fare box. It will auto- matically subtract the fare from your card.
Cash passengers
Check the fare display and your numbered ticket, and drop the fare amount and the numbered ticket together into the fare box.
One-day pass
passengers
Please show your pass to the bus driver.

Getting off the bus
Get off the bus from the front door. Please beware of pedestrians and bicycles on the sidewalk.
CAUTION
- If you are an elementary school pupil, please inform the driver BEFORE paying cash or placing an IC card for the payment.
- There will be no change to be returned by the fare box.
- You may break 1,000 yen bills or 500 yen, 100 yen, and 50 yen coins on the bus.You may not break 10,000 yen or 5,000 yen bills.
